PINK: HOW TO STYLE LIKE A BARBIE DOLL

Welcome Cliquees!

Today’s post is inspired by fashion ICON, Barbie. I mean, she’s the epitome of style and fashion. A total queen, if you ask me.

This post will be divided into 2 parts, so bear with me.

We will go over a total pink & pretty Barbie look + we will discuss 9 ways to style the color pink!

Need some more inspo? I have a Pinterest board focused solely on PINK! You can find it here. Happy pinning!

That being said, let’s get into the post!

BTW, none of the pieces that are mentioned in this article are sponsored or paying me to link.

This post was inspired by Steve Madden’s Vala Pink Pumps. Check them out:

When I saw these pretty pumps, I instantly thought of a complete Barbie look. Pink from head to toe. I wanted to recreate a Barbie inspired look, but before I get to that, let’s check out the other stunning pink options from Steve Madden, shall we?

What I love about Steve Madden is their effortlessly bold + unique take on fashion. I love, love, love their beautiful creations, and I have huge hope that you will too. Here are some of my fave picks:

+ Barbie in the City (ft. Steve Madden):

+ Barbie’s Taking Names! (ft. Steve Madden):

+ A Mile in Barbie’s Shoes, While Running Errands (ft. Steve Madden):

+ Bejeweled Barbie in Bora Bora (ft. Steve Madden):

Yeah, these shoes are… I don’t have any words for how beautiful they are.

I mean, props to you, Steve Madden.

They’re cute, stylish, and totally something Barbie would pull off, right?!

Anyway, here are three purses from Steve Madden that Barbie would totally style as well, w/ the shoes!

+ Barbie’s a Prada Fan (ft. Steve Madden):

This bag is a great Prada dupe, but make it PINK! Stylish + affordable, deal!

+ Barbie Also Loves Jacquemus (ft. Steve Madden):

Yeah, who knew?? This bag is also a terrific Jacquemus dupe that’s stunning + a terrific budget options!

+ Barbie’s Lost in La La Land (ft. Steve Madden):

This Barbie-approved envelope clutch is simple, yet elegant! AND PINK!!

Okay, now that we’ve delved into the world of pink, let’s find out how to style it!

Look One: Go All Out!

Why settle for less, when you can do more?

Pink is such a bold + fun color that sure to turn heads!

When I was younger, in elementary school, all I wore was pink. Pink dresses, pink shoes, pink denim, pink shirts, pink hoodies, you get the pink point.

Yeah girl, I was that girl.

I remember some parent mentioned to mine that too much pink was not a good move.

(Yeah, right…)

I still wore pink during those elementary school years!!

I mean, why not??

It’s chic, fancy, and playful!

Have fun throwing on all different shades of pink (think blush, hot pink, coral, pastel pink, etc!) Don’t ever forget to have fun with fashion!

White is also a great color to pair with pink! Just look at those stunning white leather boots!!

Pick bold accessories like pink see through sunnies, or sprinkle eyeglasses, maybe even a pink tote or hot pink phone case!

This gives you an instant Barbie look!

Look Two: Bare Essentials

Pink can also be a simple color too!

Adding a simple pink t-shirt (this one looks FAB when tucked in to some high waisted denim!) or a pink coat to your look is a great way to add more depth into your outfit!

Perfectly Pink Basics:

+ Pink Camisole

+ Here is a great pink basic sweater I LOVE.

+ I’m also loving this one!

+ Soft + simple pink jacket

+ THE MOST ADORABLE PINK COAT

Look Three: Let’s Talk Business

Let’s face it. Pink is bold & powerful. A statement color, if you will.

I love wearing pink for any business or professional ventures.

I find pink suits amazing + stylish + a cunning power move!

You can decide to wear a completely pink suit for an all out + confident look. (Don’t be scared to get out of your comfort zone!)

You can also choose to wear only pink pants & go with a different color for the blazer.

How about a pink blazer and some denim jeans for a more business casual look! Add a fun belt, too!

This is a fun way to play around with the stereotypically boring ol’ grey suit!

Add some fun or simple jewelry and/ or some fabulous statement shoes to take your look to a whole other level!

I love statement shoes, I mean, they changed Cinderella’s life after all!

Look Four: Go Minimal with Blush Pink

For those of you who think all pink is a bit excessive for your taste, never fear!

Pink can also be a soft + subtle color that can please the eyes, too!

The images above shows very light pink tones that are minimal + stunning!!

They are fun & easy to style other colors with! Think light blue, light grey, white, red!

Stylin’ pink with pastel blue!

Different fabrics are also fun to incorporate with the lovely color pink! How about some denim, tweed, chevron? The options are endless!

Look around your closet for anything pink and start small, start simple.

Don’t forget to accessorize, too!

Look Five: Monochrome!

Monochrome looks are amazing. They’re cool, bold, and seem daunting. But, once pulled off, are eye-catching!

When I see a girl pulling off a monochrome look, I greatly admire her ambition + courage. You go, girl!

And you can do it too!

You can read an in-depth post that I wrote about Monochrome looks, here.

A monochrome pink outfit is distinctive & I rarely see people trying to style it, mainly because it takes a lot of guts.

But there’s really nothing to it! You just have to go for it!

If there is one thing I urge you to learn from this blog is, “you can wear anything as long as you wear it with confidence!”

Try incorporating different shades of pink and tones, also different fabrics and textures!

Need some inspo? Try on a pastel pink fuzzy coat, a hot pink long skirt and a very very light pink crop top underneath. Don’t forget the shoes! Some bold + bright pink heels are sure to stun!

Look Six: Pair Pink with Dark Shades!

Pink is the perfect color to match with darker and shady tones.

Think black, rouge, charcoal grey!

I love, love, love pink and black. Sorta gothy + preppy look.

It’s a terrific look when paired with intense jewelry and accessories.

Just look at the pictures above. Toa styles taffy pink flare pants with a striped black blazer. Simple and chic, she layers on gold necklaces and rings, black leather belt, platform black shoes, and a suede black fedora.

Look Seven: Accessorize in Pink!

Ah, my favorite part of any outfit. Accessorizing, but make it pink!

Pink handbags. Pink shoes. Pink boots. Pink socks. Pink watches. Pink jewelry. Pink sunglasses.

You get the gist! Find your favorite pink accessorize and style them with your look!

It doesn’t have to be a completely pink outfit, it can be an all-black outfit too!

Pink accessorize are timeless + fun! Not to mention, so pretty!

Look Eight: Ballerina + Ball Gown

Classic ball gown shade: pink!

And you can’t go wrong with the classics!

Stun everyone at your next formal event with a gorgeous pink gown!

Have fun with accessorizing + shoes! Lead with grace + elegance!

Look Nine: Pink is For Everyone!:

Pink has always had the “just for girls” stigma.

It’s not. Like, at all.

Pink looks amazing on everyone, including guys.

Boys, don’t let this stigma stop you from wearing what you want to wear!

Try on a soft pink hoodie under a sturdy denim jacket! Maybe a destroyed denim jacket for a more streetwear look! Here is a hoodie for under $25!

Sport a light pink shirt with pretty much any outfit! Black denim, dark grey sweatpants, beige shorts are great options!

A pink jacket, a blazer, bomber jacket, or denim jacket is a great pink to add more detail & layers to your look!

++ Dudes, here is a high end pink blazer that is sure to steal hearts!
