5 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD IRON YOUR CLOTHES

Today’s post focuses on ironing clothes.

Ah, ironed clothes. Does anyone else love the warmth right after you wear something that was just ironed, or is it just me?

Anyway, continue reading on why you should be ironing your clothes, besides the intriguing fact of the warm and toasty clothing.

Imagine her clothing all wrinkled. It would take all the beauty away from her outfit!

1. Makes You Look Great!

Have you ever seen someone step in the room with the most wrinkled shirt and pants you’ve ever seen?

Chances are, they most likely dug through a monstrous pile of clothing the morning of.

Well, ironing your clothes will help you avoid that awkward situation.

Take ten minutes in the morning, while sipping on some tea or coffee, and iron your clothes for an instant fresh and clean look!

2. Great for Cold Winter Seasons

Okay, I just can’t get past this reason. It’s just too amazing!

When I wake up and feel like an icicle, I grab whatever outfit I was planning on wearing and iron it for jussttt a little bit. Once I wear it, I feel mor energized and comfortable.

And, get this!

3. Ironing clothing can also kill germs!

This sorta plays into reason 2, but it deserves a place of its own.

The high temperatures from the iron can kill any pesky germs that continued to stick to your clothing, even after washing.

It can also help deter mold!

This is a great tactic to ward off any flus or harmful bacteria to your health!

Which is extremely important, ESPECIALLY during these times.

Perfection, my friend, comes from ironing.

4. Helps Identify Stains & Imperfections

Ever have those days where your day is going great, and you start to reach for something, only to notice that you have a huge mustard stain on your sleeve?!

Yup, I’ve been there. You?

Well, ironing clothes not only makes you look great, but it gives you the opportunity to pay closer attention to what you’re wearing.

You not only pay attention to the quality of the shirt, but also the condition of the shirt.

You can also find imperfections, like loose threads or pilling fabric (the worst). <– these are the first little symptoms of a shirt being worn to death by the way or identifiers of the quality of the shirt! (You can stop the pilling of clothes by either hand-washing your clothing, or washing things inside out)

5. Ironing is the killer of bad odor

Bad oder is a travesty. Especially on important days.

How to help eliminate it?

IRON YOUR CLOTHES! IT’S AWESOME!

The high temperature of the iron kills off all bacteria (from reason 3) and also it kills any bad odor from emanating from your clothing.

Okay, from reading these 5 reasons on why you should iron your clothes, I find it hard to not do so. I mean, I sure am! I found out, not only does it help me exteriorly, it also helps me interiorly.

How?

It gives me 10-15 minutes of relaxation & peace.

During that time:

– listen to some music before you start your day

– catch up on your favorite TV show

– think and plan out your day or week

– be creative! come up with an idea or something! hey, the best ideas come from boredom, after all!
